Mid-September in a remote field deep in West England’s Costwolds, locals were intrigued by the arrival of The Gold Coast team.

A food festival organised by celebrity BBC chefs the Hairy Bikers saw The Gold Coast presenting their signature dishes Akonfem (char-grilled guinea fowl), Tilapia and Yam Balls.

This was all filmed as part of the Hairy Biker’s forthcoming BBC series due to air in January 2010.

Ghana has done it again! In their first four qualifying matches, the Black Stars have not dropped a goal to amass 12 points at the top of their Group D and therefore becoming the first African nation to officially qualify for next year’s World Cup in South Africa.

This is Ghana’s only second World Cup appearance after their debut in 2006. We’ll be right there supporting our boys waving the Red, Gold and Green and of course screening all the matches on our giant screen in the bar area.
